Making Up For Lost Time

Here is a review of our lives from the past several months. I have had some pics and stories but have not updated due to speed issues. I am currently at a coffee house here in town while Johnathan is at football practice. Josiah is with me.




As I mentioned to some, Johnathan is playing football in the peewee league in town. Our Pastor is one of the coaches and his sons and some others from our church play in the same league. It has provided some additional gospel contacts to folks in town. In the second picture he is the second player left of the referee.




The school year is off to a good start! It has been exciting to see God work in the way He led us to go back to teaching: including having Maria teach K-5 this year. Josiah comes a couple of days each week and does some preschool work along side the kindergarten.




We have celebrated a few birthdays recently, but I will post those pics in another post.

At the end of the summer we traveled to Michigan to the Swaffer reunion. While we were in Brooklyn, Mi, we took the opportunity to drive on the Michigan Speedway. We also got to see our friends the Steadmans and traveled over to Canada for part of a day to get some Poutine (French Fries with cheese curds and brown gravy). We weren't sure if we were going to make it across the border without any birth certificates on hand for our children. In addition we were wondering if they would have an issue with us having 11 people including 7 children in a conversion van that had seatbelts for 7 people. You know how it is to have enough car seats for everyone!! Somehow we made it into Canada and back without a lot of trouble. Well, that concludes our coffee house publishing for tonight. Tune in next week - if I can make this a regular thing it might be nice!
