Our busy home!
We thoroughly enjoyed opening each of your gifts this last Saturday. Who ever thought our Christmas would last until the middle of January?! It has been quite fun spreading it out so much. Andrew loves each of his gifts, but mommy and daddy love the little superman outfit best. Thanks Uncle Brad.Well, now that the holidays are over, life is back to being busier than ever. We have several youth activities this month and a few larger ones in February. We are excited about these and look forward to all the preparations. We have a great team of young people and we are excited to see the Lord grow each of them.
Jennie and I started the Spanish Junior Church two Sundays ago. My younger sisters were able to participate when they were here. The first Sunday we had four children from various backgrounds. Yesterday, we doubled that! We are already thrilled to see the enthusiasm of the children and the parents. What a blessing to be part of something we love to do! I pulled out all my files and trunks of games, stories, and prizes, and we had a great time.
While my family was here we went on a nice hike up Crowders Mountain. Andrew had a blast as Mommy and Daddy took turns with him on our back. He giggled the whole way down. He never ceases to amaze us with his energy and bubbily personality. We spent 2 hours in the doctor's office last week, and he entertained the whole (filled) waiting room. He had grouchy people laughing in minutes. It's fun to be part of putting smiles on people's faces even if it does take a little energy out of you. Andrew is 30 inches and weighs almost 27 pounds! He is walking a ton and figures the hardest puzzle out. His doctor loves it when he comes in for a visit. Andrew likes to show him all his tricks and play with all the fun gadgets the doctor gives him.
Other than all of that life in the Swaffer home is "uneventful." Brian is busy with work, paying off bills, and working more. Mom and Andrew clean, organize, decorate, and play. Andrew loves to help "fold" laundry and he helped Mommy paint Aunt Jennie's room last week. We love you all and miss you each.
